3 of Swords

A card representing sorrow. Of all the cards, this is the one that implies pain and heartbreak. It describes that sudden pain of disbelief that you might get, for example, if you find a loved one has betrayed you.

The Three tells us we must not push the pain away. We need to take it deep and overcome it with courage and love.

Remember, we are all capable of hurting one another, we are all capable of cruelty.

In readings, it represents sorrow, rejection and betrayal. You will probably know to what it is referring but if not, see it as a warning. In dealing with the pain, it asks you to listen to your inner voice. You can overcome this pain, but it will take some time.

Reversed, the healing process is blocked. Either you are in denial or do not wish to be healed.
